Love-In-Idleness
“Markt I where the bolt of Cupid fell,” says Oberon, the fairy king in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. “It fell upon a little western flower, before milk-white, now purple with love’s wound, and maidens call it love-in-idleness.” Were Oberon to come to Lonely Worm Farm, he would find a sea of these flowers, otherwise known as Viola tricolor, or heartsease. We have enough to make gallons of his merciless love potion.
In fact, we are hoping that Oberon will come-– along with Puck, Titania, Snug, Bottom, Theseus, Helena, Mustard-Seed and the rest. We will be celebrating the coming of summer with a bonfire and a reading of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on June 24. If you would like to read a part, please contact me as soon as possible! Choose 3 characters that you would like to play, and I will do my best to see that you get one of them.
